omama news

Hello from Omaha Nebraska...land of Noah, Grace, Lucy and Jacob. Here is an update of our activities while grandma has been here. It is SO cold! I can't imagine being a pioneer traveling through here in the winter; especially the Martin Handcart Company. I think we should all be grateful we live in a time of warm cars, homes and businesses. I know I am!

Jacob gets his first bath in the big bathtub! He loved it

Grace and her lemon. How does she do that?

what's lucy doing? they all kind of like Jacob!

grace is learning to play the piano and is doing great! another generation learning on grandma's piano!

what beautiful girls!

today we went to play raquetball. it was really fun watching the kids. noah got pretty good. grace only liked it until she got hit by the ball, and lucy decided soccer was more to her liking. don't you love the goggles?
as you can see, life is good here in omaha!

Lucy's brother

As you can see, Lucy loves her brother! And she's not the only one. He definately rules at the Ogden house!

Grandma made it to the Ogden house! I arrived after midnight but Holly was kind and let me have Jacob as soon as I got there. You know I love that!

Isn't he such a babe ... As you can tell, he is so tiny. But he has great lungs! I think he is practically perfect in every way!
keep watching for more pictures!

CAN WE DO THIS AGAIN NEXT WINTER?

Being at the cabin in the winter is so much fun! Last weekend we had Amy, Justin, Bryton, Whitney, Austin, and their friends. They had fun playing in the snow; building forts and some great tunnels and caves. Amy took all of the pictures so I don't have any to post. I need to get a copy of those! We loved having them here. It was a fun weekend.

This last weekend we had Jeff and Brenna, Jackson and James; Wendy, Olivia, Ethan and Tyler. We played in the snow all weekend! We went sledding by the cabin, snowmobiling, and the favorite event, skiing at Tamarack! When we were about done at Tamarack, Tyler came up to me and said, "Grandma, can we do this again next winter?" As you can tell by the pictures, we have skiing grandchildren! Even Jackson was skiing! I think Sarah and Stuart started something!

At the ski shop trying on ski boots. So cute!

Grandpa is a great ski instructor...on water or on snow!

Jackson hangin out on the "magic carpet" He loved riding it without Dad...and with Olivia

Super skiiers!

There are some great places to sled at the cabin. Because of all of the snow that just keeps coming, somebody has to break trail! We call this extreme sledding! Be sure notice the look on Jeff's face. So funny!

James just sat on the sled with his dad. What a cute boy!

Brave Jackson! Down all by himself!

Oh Boy! Breaking trail again....look SO cold!

crazy man!

Just like old times! Dad pushing Jeff down the hill.

Jeff's even smiling.

It really was a fun weekend. I don't have any pictures of the Moyes' family sledding. what's up with that? Wendy will have to post those! I was in the cabin with baby James and missed the photo op. on that one. They built a great snowman too...complete with spiky hair made from icicles.

We love having our family come to play in the snow with us.
